Elegant columnar selection, highly valued as a specimen, perimeter planting, or accent plant. Slender, uniform growth habit with dense branching to the ground. Spring growth is bright green. Dark green needles are slightly curved on closely set branches. Makes an ideal windbreak or privacy wall. Highly recommended for cool climates with a short growing season. Evergreen. It grows 20 to 30 feet tall and 6 to 10 feet wide.
Grow in well drained, sandy-loam soils in full sun to part shade. Water deeply and less frequently after its established to encouage a deep root system.
