Water Saving Tip:

Fix leaking sprinklers, valves, and pipes.

One broken spray sprinkler can waste 10 gallons per minute - or 100 gallons in a typical 10 minute watering cycle.

During the spring, spectacular 18 inch long, rosy-pink blooms hang like pendants from this vine. Flowers emerge before or as leaves emerge in the spring. Leaves are fine and long, and pinnate. Grows 15 to 25 feet tall and wide.
This is a very vigorous vine. No small, cute garden trellises. Give it a fence, garage, or pergola to cover. Prune right after flowering. Too much nitrogen fertilizer can inhibit blooming, so avoid planting near heavily fed lawns. Plant in full sun and well drained soil. Sometimes available as a "standardized" tree, they need proper pruning to maintain form.
