Siberian Peashrub is a deciduous shrub, growing 10 to 15 feet feet tall and 6 to 12 feet wide. Leaves are a bright green and pinnate; fall color is yellow. Bright yellow pea-like flowers in May; blooms on previous year's wood.
Extremely cold hardy; tolerates poor soils, drought, alkalinity, salt, wind. Good for hedges and screens. Blooms on previous year's wood, so prune right after flowering, if necessary.
