A spreading mound 2' tall and wide, Fendler's Sundrops had small green foliage that is lightly hairy, casting a soft grey tone. Yellow flowers are about 2" across and open in the morning, turning orange and pink as they fade. Blooms in the summer. Evergreen in the low desert, it will probably die back to the ground with a hard frost. Spreads by rhizomes.
Grow in full sun or some shade. Prefers good drainage, but otherwise is unparticular as to soil type. Cut back periodically to regenerate growth. Hardy to USDA Zone 6.
