This compact salvia produces spires of deep blue tubular flowers in early summer. Foliage is deep green and heavily textured. Great color for the perennial border or parkstrip. Grows about 12 inches tall and a little wider.
Grow in well drained soil in full sun. Grows in most any soil type as long as it is well drained. Deadheading will prolong the bloom period; cutting the plant back hard will frequently result in a later summer bloom. Drought tolerant.
