An annual cousin of our native blue flax. Blooms spring into summer, though flowering diminishes as the temperatures rise. Flowers are five petaled, cup-like, and come in an array of red, white, and pink. foliage is fine and grass-like. Depending on variety, plants grow 12 to 30 inches tall, and not as wide.
Best grown from seed. Will grow in any well draining soil in full sun. Sowing successively will lengthen the bloom season. May reseed in optimum conditions.
